    RJon,
Thanks for the great information. It is amazing that we go through 3 years of law school and other than mentioning IOTA issues in ethics classes no one ever really shows attorneys the right was to set up their trust accounts. These videos should be mandatory for all new attorneys starting up their own practices!

  2. RJON, where can I get the forms of the Client Ledger and Overall Firm Journal? When I watched the video, it did not appear as a slide and I was unable to save them or print them out. It also made it difficult to follow along. Let me know if you can e-mail it to us. Thanks! AudreyEsq@gmail.com

    Hi Audrey,

Here’s a link to download the sample ledger cards & overall firm journal.

For the record, my own trust account records are handwritten on legal sheets. And they passed with flying colors when I showed them to The Florida Bar Auditor. “As long as I can read your handwriting, RJon these comply with the rules.”

Rjon, can we keep legers and journals in quickbooks or any other accounting programs? Or do you suggest keeping physical records of everything. BTW, I love your choice of backgrounds in all your videos. It really screams out “happy lawyer.”

    Hi Jiah,

Most State Bar Rules require you to be able to produce hard copies if you’re ever audited. Being a lover of trees & fresh air I DON’T recommend that you print everything out every month. Just be sure you have reliable back-up of your electronic data files so you don’t end up having to kill a whole beautiful weekend like I did when my only laptop got flooded in a freak hot water heater accident that flooded my first floor and that old laptop was on the floor in a downstairs closet. Of course it could just as easily have been a fire theft, virus etc. You get the point.

Thanks! I happen to have a whole closet full of beautiful Brooks Brothers suits that I don’t wear very often anymore. A few years ago I decided that I could either shoot all my videos in a suit but then only once-in-awhile or show the world the ‘real me’ who is a guy that wears more t-shirts & jeans these days!

  6. Where is the mp3 link located? Also, is the video still available? The video doesn’t seem to be available.

  7. RJon says:

The links to download the mp3′s are above each video. To download you just right click the link. I’ll see what I can do about making the links EASIER TO SPOT! Thanks for the feedback. As far as I know all of the videos are up & working. I’ll double-check.
